Trouble

Don’t worry, the trouble is only this: I’m running out of storage space on JustMorons. I’ve got 25 MB left. That’s plenty of space as far as text and images go, but it’s not even enough room for the two new movies I’ve produced this week: one of Molli trying to feed herself (“The Little Pig”) and one of our brief outing to the zoo yesterday (“Animals”). I’m going to have to clean up my entire web existence. Since the new book won’t really be best served from a marketing point of view by a site called “JustMorons,” I’m even considering scrapping the big site altogether. It would be sad, but it’s only force of habit that’s keeping it afloat right now. Anyway, it’s something I have to think about. Until I figure out what to do, however, I’m going to send myself at Gmail a copy of every movie I make, which I can then forward via email to anyone who wants it. (Gmail gives you over 2GB of storage, whereas my own domain only gives me 250MB.)

That much said… just let me know if you want a copy of either or both of the aforementioned videos, and I’ll obviously keep you all abreast of what the hell I’m doing with my web presence.

Jeg har lovet, jeg ville skrive af og til på dansk. Nu begynder jeg at prøve (af og til). Ikke særlig meget, og selvfølgelig ikke oversættelser over alt, hvad jeg jar skrevet på engelsk, men lidt dansk hver gang. (Var det ikke så dårlig, det, hvad jeg lige har skrevet?)

Mormor has taken Molli to the zoo several times, but this was our first family outing there. Molli was very engaged by the animals. Here you can see her admiring the lazy lions, who barely twitched a muscle as they lay in the sun.

Molli har taget mange tur til zoo’en med sin mormor, men den her tur var vores første “familie” tur til zoo’en. Molli elskede dyrene. Her kan man se hende glå på de dovne løverne, der bare læggede og sov i solen hele dagen.

The lovely day was nearly spoiled at the elephant area, when the braying of the giant creatures threw Molli into absolute terror. It was the most horrified I’d ever seen her—even more frightened than she used to get with the hand blender.

Can’t really blame her—the forelegs of the big female elephant (in the foreground here) were each as big as me, and the bull was even bigger, and both were tooting pretty aggressively. I don’t know that I’ve ever heard such raucous elephants myself.

Whoops, she just woke up… that’ll be all!
