Trine brought Molli to Anne Greve today—I guess the days of her visiting us at home are over. Molli weighed in at 5780 grams or so, but this was on a digital scale so you have to add 117 grams to Anne’s last “manual” measurement. On the other hand, Molli was wearing clothes when they weighed her, so her actual weight is probably about 5600-5700 grams. She’s just a little under the 50th percentile for full-term babies of her actual age… obviously right off the charts in terms of preemies.
Her development continues apace. Trine had a hard time falling asleep tonight so the two of us were both working on our computers at about 1:30 in the morning while Molli entered her fourth peaceful hour of slumber. Typical of me and Trine… we’ve got to be the only parents of newborns who find themselves unable to sleep through the night while their baby dozes away…
Anyway, enough with the text, here are some more pix.
First, now that Molli’s got so much neck control we’re able to lift her about more. So we finally get the inevitable flying Molli shot:
And although there’s nothing particularly special about the following photograph, I think it captures Molli’s sometimes wistful nature very nicely:
Both of those were from yesterday. Tonight I took some shots while Trine gave Molli the end-of-the-night massage before her bath. We’re just stunned at the way she’s holding up her head! (Those are Trine’s knees in the background.)
Lastly just a sweet shot of mother and child:
Sox are up 1-0 after one inning of play, so I’ll go back to the game and hopefully find my way to bed very soon (it’s just past 3am now).
