First there’s a movie to download. It’s about 45MB and it’s right here.
The movie, and most of the images below, are from Molli Malou’s visit with Maddie on Saturday. She was so excited to hold her she could barely contain herself, and when the doctor came by to have a look at Maddie, Molli Malou refused to give her up. (As you can tell by the edits in the video, eventually she did relent but insisted we give her right back when the doctor was done, “because she’s MINE.”)
There’s not much to say about the visit that isn’t said in the video and the pictures.
Maddie weighed in at 1450 grams today, a growth of 50 grams in about 24 hours (the equivalent of a 150-pound adult gaining about 4½ pounds in one day). She’s doing great. I haven’t seen her as much as I’d like to, which has been hard, but there’s so much that needs to be done and it’s much more important for Trine to have as much time as possible with her.
I told Molli Malou today that Great Grandma had died, and she was sad and it broke my heart watching her try to work through it. In the end she said, “Daddy, I HATE it when people die.” And she hasn’t spoken much about it since.
We are all sad about it.
So let’s cheer up with these pictures and videos of two of Great Grandma’s four great-granddaughters!
I know Great Grandma would have loved the pictures and am sure she is smiling somewhere knowing Molli Malou and Maddie are doing so well together. AML Dad (Pop-pop)
