It’s from our June 2 trip to Tivoli. I think I posted some pictures from that outing (with the three of us and John, Sandie, and Liam), but it’s much more fun with sound and moving pictures.
I made the movie using Nero software. The resulting AVI (very high quality) was 1.85 GB. Yes, really, Gigabytes, not Megabytes. That’s about… what, a million of the old 5 1/4″ floppies? Anyway, I loaded the AVI into Windows MovieMaker, saved it as a WMV file, and now it’s just 12MB. Slightly reduced quality, but still… enough to account for 1.73 GB? I don’t think so.

(Since I have gigabytes and gigabytes on my new hosting plan, there’s no point trying to save space by overwriting old video files, so videos will be left on from now on.)
I swear once this damn book is off my plate (while they read it and decide how much I need to edit, rewrite, etc) I will spend hours crafting finely-crafted videos worthy of your viewing pleasure!
Oh… and, as a side note: Elmo was on the Danish children’s TV hour this evening (the “hour” that runs from 6-6:30). Even Molli Malou seemed to think it was weird hearing Elmo speak Danish. Dorothy was Dorthea. And Mr Noodle was like Herre Nudler or some crazy thing. Bizarre.
But she’s used to Teletubbies in both languages, so why not Elmo?
