The text is going to be very pithy, because I’ve got 15 images to share with you today, from before Mette’s arrival right up to this afternoon’s Navngivningsfest for Elizabeth (David & Bente’s baby and therefore Molli’s youngest blood relation).
The first two shots were just irresistable. There isn’t much to say about them, except that Molli has an obvious enthusiasm for bargain shopping. (If you hold your mouse over today’s images, you’ll see Molli’s thoughts as best as I can interpret them.)
Mette got in Friday afternoon and we got the mandatory first-hug photo:
With Moster Mette in the house, we’ve discovered a new possibility: photos of the three of us:
Never too many bath shots:
Morfar came by for a visit after he and Mette got back from some business in Fyn, and got to have some Mollicoddling of his own:
And I was able to get Morfar with all his girls:
Elizabeth’s navngivningsfest (“name-giving party,” traditionally associated with a baptism, but often thrown these days instead of a baptism) was held at Casseiopeia, the restaurant at the planetarium. I took this photo after the event, on our way home, and the green arrow is pointing to the location of the restaurant itself, which was in a kind of solarium off the planetarium.
Here are Trine, David, Mette, Bente, and the two girls. And you can see the view of the lake behind them.
Here’s a close-up, a little overexposed, of Elizabeth:
And here’s a closeup of the cousins getting reacquainted:
Whoop… Trine just reminded me a show I have to watch for Studieskolen is now on, and I want to sneak a few peeks at the Vikings-Eagles game anyway. So, very quickly, without any further lame thought bubbles for Molli, here’s Molli with Jorgen:
Here’s Molli with Inge (Morfar’s mor, or “oldemor”).
Here’s Molli trying to bite my finger off:
And here’s a shot of Mormor at the back window of their apartment. (We stopped by on our walk home.) I just thought it was a nice picture.
There you go… all caught up.
Wonderful pictures and I think you capture Molli’s thoughts just right. Can’t wait for my turn to hld her again.
Hej Greg,
The pictures are wonderful and its great to see Molli with all her Mor’s family and all the generations. It looks and sounds like you’re having a wonderful time.
Just a note – for some reason we didn’t get the first photo, just a box with an x and the comment you assigned Molli. The next photo came out and we got the words too. Anyway, thank you again for sharing. Despite the jealousy I feel that all those other people get to hold her, I love seeing her grow up in her pictures.
