Our business trip to Thunder Bay, Ontario, has been booked, and I’m happy to say it allows us to spend some time in the northeast. Specifically, we arrive in Newark on Saturday, July 2, at 2:50 pm on flight SK909 and depart from Newark at 5:40 pm on Wednesday, July 27, on flight SK910.
The connecting flight to Thunder Bay doesn’t leave Bradley/Hartford until Wednesday, July 6 around 10am and returns to Bradley/Hartford at about 10:30 pm Friday night, July 8. (Maybe we should rent a car to get from the airport to Deep River?)
That means Nana and Pop-Pop will be alone with the girls most of Wednesday, all of Thursday, and for all intents and purposes, all of Friday of our first week in the states. Hoping that’s okay but based on the response we got to the initial feasibility inquiry, I can’t say I’m worried.
It also means, from where discussions about the week at the summerhouse stand, we may have to hit the road early Saturday after a late Friday to get up to New Hampshire, but that doesn’t seem like a big concern.
Not sure how to divvy out the time after the week in New Hampshire, but there’ll still be 10 days to play with. One of those we will spend on the north shore with Adam and his family, and Mick, but the other nine are wide open.
