Bathing Beauty

I made it to the 9:30 pusling this morning and we decided to give Molli another bath.  She seemed to enjoy it immensely.  (We’ve got video, which I may or may not post later—there’s also some great video of her writhing around while we dry her off that’s a little more fun because she’s so much more active.)

Daddy's little mermaid.

And Chelmsford should be pleased to see that she’s finally big enough to wear store-bought premie clothes:

The most wonderful thing about Tiggers...

It’s the first time she’s ever worn her own clothes!  (Although she’s still wearing a hospital undershirt.)  It was very exciting to get her into that merchandised bit of textile goodness.  And I get a kick out of knowing every Dane that reads her shirt will read, “Beggar!”

But her eyes are still the thing that knock me out.  This shot was a little blurry, but by shrinking and sharpening I think I may have saved it:

Slidey eyes...?

Believe it or not, she does have beautiful eyelashes and eyebrows: they’re just so blonde and so fine they don’t come out on any but the biggest, highest-resolution pics.  Anyway, trust us: they’re there.

We’re just home on a brief hiatus so Trine can change.  We’re heading back momentarily.  The weather has finally turned to summer here: it’s a gorgeous (scorching?), cloudless day here.  Trine just threw on a little summer dress and was admiring herself in it when she realized… hmm…  how do I nurse in this?  Answer: you don’t!  So she’s changing again.

Also, Chelmsford, let me know if you’re up for a little more X-Box this evening!  Gene, we must get through that damn airport!

  1. What great pictures and what an astonishing little girl Molli is! She has a hefty appetite and is growing like a little weed. She’ll be huge by the time we get to see her.

She’s so pretty and I just loved the photo of her in the tub – you could really see her clearly and get a good feel for her size at the same time. Her face seems to have already changed shape and her eyes are certainly a beautiful blue. I’m sure it’s killing you to have to leave her there every day but at least you and Trine are having a chance to have a little quality time together, to rest and have a little time to prepare for Molli’s homecoming.

The idea of refeeding her through the tube is a little nauseating. I guess it’s a way to determine how much she ate but it’s seems kind of heartless.
She looks so teeny in the Tigger outfit – is that really preemie size????

We’re off to Sophie’s Birthday party later. Dad is playing in a member-guest event at the club this morning.

    Love you.
