We bought Molli Malou a little kiddie bike this morning because she’s too big for her old trike and we’re kind of embarrassed by her always riding other kids’ bikes around the yard (and the 3½-year-old Clara made it very clear yesterday that our embarrassment was the least of Molli Malou’s problems in that respect). Anyway, I put it together out in the yard thanks to the beautiful weather and my cordless tools, and I apparently did my usual half-assed job of it because Molli Malou had been riding all of two minutes when the training wheels fell off.
But she didn’t!
She rode around and around and around, laughing kind of maniacally, as if she knew she was violating laws of physics with every second she remained mobile and upright, and she didn’t stop until she finally rode straight into the gateway doors as usual.
But she didn’t bat an eyelash… just climbed back on the bike, gave herself a push start, and was cruising again a moment later, shouting “Ikke baby wheels! Ikke baby wheels!”
The bad news is, in all the excitement I dropped the camera and… well, our renter’s insurance will cover it.
Would love to have see the pictures. Hope you are up and snapping soon.
Boy!!! Molli is about 5 years ahead of her cousins in riding a two wheeler! Way to go Molli! Can’t wait to see the video of it.
Next time we see you Molli you can go for a ride with your cousins. I think they’ll have to work to keep up!
