We get back from Germany and resume normal life.
First, I have here a little movie (50 MB, wmv) of our trip to Germany — once again, alas, no fancy editing or effects, just a cobbling together of the video I have from the trip.

FIRST: We have another timewarp issue. I didn’t set my camera appropriately when I got the new memory card in Munich, so every time I shoot pix the memory card resets the first picture of the “roll” to 001. I finally figured out how to make the camera keep the counter going (and not resetting every time I upload the pix to the computer), so this is the last blog where this will be a problem, but… oh, god, it’s complicated, you’ll grasp it soon enough because that’s just the way it is.
So we start out in early April with Maddie smiling for the camera in her sister’s room…
And suddenly flash forward to late April, with Molli Malou showing Flat Stanley around børnehaven.
Then back to mid-April, Molli Malou taking a shot of me on the patio on the first truly nice day of the year in Denmark…
And Flat Stanley trying to mail himself back to Gracie Antczak in Beverly, MA.
And the girls playing soccer back in early April…
Molli Malou excited to take a dip in the almost-totally-drained pool in mid-April…

I don’t know why, but I like the following picture:

I love this next pic… Welcome to spring in Denmark: the sun is up early and low: it’s about 6:3o in the morning here, and the girls are blinded by the sunlight in the kitchen. And I like the shadow of me holding the camera:
Now I’m tired but would rather post this blog tonight than put it off another day. So in chaotic order that has nothing to do with the calendar and everything to do with the way our camera numbers photos, here’s the rest of the bunch. I’ll do a text-only blog later this weekend to catch up the loose ends.
This is a news pic of the volcano the link to which was forwarded by Pop-Pop… everything’s back to normal now, but man…. did this Icelandic volcano screw things up in Europe in the middle of the month!
Like I said, more text in the days ahead, clarifiying the sandbox and plumbing and plastic boxes and living room layout pictures and waxing nostalgic on Molli Malou’s last day of børnehaven, but for now… I’m getting some sleep.
Loved the pictures and the video. I could figure out what was what even without your commentary. So don't feel you have to add more if you don't have time.
Perhaps the funniest were the dog walking Molli Malou in the video and Maddie and her self serve breakfast in the photos. Those pictures really are worth thousands of words.

Lovely video, lovely pictures. The chaotic order made me slow down and think about each one. I assume the one with the pipes is the pump that didn't. It certainly gives me great pleasure to watch the girls doing just ordinary things, like walking a dog or eating an egg.
