OVERHEARD
Molli Malou to friend: “I’m going to get married.”
Friend: “When?”
Molli Malou: “Soon. But I have to learn Tae Kwan Do first.”
For the record, Trine insists that context counts: Molli Malou was not reflecting on the previous day’s English wedding, but on the idea of herself as a bride because she had suited up in her wedding dress costume in preparation for a princess birthday party later in the day. And Trine insists Molli Malou was being deliberately silly, and even laughed a little as she spoke the final line.
This is why Trine doesn’t write comedy. 😉
