Just a note for the permanent record: in order to facilitate the work he’s doing smoothing over the tiles in the guest bath, our mason today dismantled the guest room bath. So as of today, right now, here is the status of our three bathrooms.
GUEST BATH
No sink
No lighting
Tiles coated over with drying cement
OLD FULL BATH
25% of ceiling piled up as scrap in the carport
NEW FULL BATH
One uninstalled shower
One sink with no plumbing
No mirrors
No shower enclosures
So to save you the math, across three bathrooms we now have three functioning toilets, one functioning sink, one functional and usable shower, and one bathtub.
Unfortunately, the leak in the utility room (fyrrummet) means that our water pressure is so low that showers are just a trickle and the bathtub is unusable.
One of my “2019 Prediction” questions should have been “On what date will we first have three fully functioning bathrooms in good shape, with no outstanding renovations, repairs, or fixes scheduled, and properly pressured water?”
At this point I’m wondering if it’s a question of whether rather than when!
Do not give up. Tidecrest was in worse shape and we made it.
