That’s what Anne Greve called her: “Little Big Girl.” She weighed 3650g this morning. That’s eight pounds (technically 8.03). Anne’s measurements are 117g heavier than the hospital’s, based on last week’s joint measurement session, but regardless of which scale we’re using she’s gained 350 grams (3/4 pound) this week. Little big girl indeed!
(I’m still charting her weight gain, and the straight upward line of her growth is consistent even allowing for that 117g deduction.)
Here she is being weighed (you can see why it’s so important to get that flash fixed):
(Yes, it’s a terrible picture, but it’s all we’ve got right now.)
We had our first experiment with the bottle yesterday: we prepped a bottle and I tried to feed Molli with it. The experiment wasn’t a total failure, but it’s certainly going to take a few more experiments before we can count on giving her an actual meal from a bottle (as opposed to an upper-body milk wash).
That’s all the news for now…
Hi,
What a girl! Looks like Molli will be about the new baby weight I’m used to by the time I get there! I can’t believe how fast she’s gaining. Trine, aren’t you glad she’s not gaining like this inside you? She’d have been huge by the time she was due next week.
Anyway, congratulations on taking such good care of Molli and thanks for the photo of the weigh-in. Not what I’d anticipated at all.
Have a great weekend.
Love you and xxxxx
