Lidt syg is, I think, Danish for “a little sick.” That’s what Molli is—we think. We’re not sure. She slept for one four-hour stretch and one five-hour stretch last night, but has been very cranky today. She had a slight fever this morning and has had some runny stuff in her diapers. She’s been eating adequately and at more or less her usual intervals all day, but Trine says she was fussy and fidgety, the way she normally gets when she’s got a lot of gas, all day long.
Anna Greve comes by for the weekly check-up (and weigh-in!) tomorrow morning, so if Molli’s not entirely better by then at least we’ll be able to get some guidance on what to do. She got a decent chunk of a meal out of her bottle last night (about 20-30ml), so I’m afraid maybe the unfrozen milk didn’t agree with her.
On the other hand, if she begins sleeping through the night in four- and five-hour stretches, we’re not going to complain! As I write this Trine is with Molli at Frederiksberg Svømmehal, where she’s getting her a Zone Therapy Massage. She scheduled the appointment when we thought Molli was colicky, but decided to keep it anyway just to see if maybe it didn’t help her with some of her gas discomfort.
Which reminds me—I said I’d have dinner ready when they got home, and they’ll be home in about twenty-five minutes, so that’ll wrap it up for now. I’ll be sure to give a full update after Anna Greve comes tomorrow.
Camera Update: I brought the camera into the repair center yesterday. The guy said it obviously just needed a new flash, but that they were all backed up right now because everyone was on vacation (welcome to August in Denmark). He said if I left the camera with him it would be three weeks before they even got to it. He said it wouldn’t harm the camera to keep using it as long as we could get by without the flash, and that I should bring the camera back in early September when they’re back to their ordinary capacity—then I ought to be able to get it back in about a week. So there’ll be plenty of pictures in the weeks ahead after all, but not very many indoor shots.
