Anna Greve has come and gone. Molli is no longer sick, but did have two more 4-5 hour sleeping stretches last night (including a 1AM to 5AM snooze that rocked our world). She’s gained another 350g this week: she’s 4 kilos. That’s 8.8 pounds. If she hadn’t been premature, she’d surely be a mutant giant freak baby.
It’s her due date today. Trine’s looking down at Molli as I write this, with what appears to be a certain relief that the Molli now in her lap is not still inside trying to get out.
I’m running late and need to get out the door, but just wanted to give that Molli Expansion Update.
I guess this means that my children were SUPER Mutant Giant freak babies since they weighed 10 and 9 lbs respectively. Let’s just hope that Molli does better with the hair thing. A redhead Don King sumo baby does not paint a pretty picture! The truth is know matter what she looks like you will think she is the most adorable child in the world. As one friend so succinctly put it once “your child is in color and the rest are in black and white”
Here’s to Molli’s growth! Cheers!
Deb
hej Greg,
I didn’t read your earlier blog that Molli was ill but am relieved to know that she is fine – and putting in some decent slumber hours. I can’t believe she’s so big already – but as you know both Hannah and Sophie and you and Deb were bigger than that at birth so it’s not surprising her birth weight would have been in the 9 lb range had she remained in utero until now.
The important thing is she’s healthy and thriving and that the birth is in the past. Consider yourself lucky you weren’t hanging around waiting past her due date like Deb had to!
Thank you for the lovely “formal” thank you note. It wasn’t necessary but was lovely to receive. Far nicer than I was since I never sent you a formal thank you for the wonderful birthday present you sent me and that I continue to enjoy.
Now it’s time to write a newsletter so I’m off. My love to Trine and Molli and XXXXXS for all of you.
