Homewrecking

It was 10am when I began this. I didn’t get to finish before I went to school. I’d only wanted to give I’d give a little Molli Update because we got some great pictures as our home was torn apart yesterday.

I’m not going to bother posting pictures of the anarchy this apartment has been through, but here are a couple of shots of how things are now and you can imagine for yourselves just how they got this way. First the living room and kitchen:

And here’s our bedroom.

Both those shots were taken this morning. Yesterday as we were packing up the bed we conducted a popular Danish experiment in lineage: we placed Molli on a pile of pillows and folded duvets, with a single pea concealed on one of the lower layers. And Molli cried and screamed! So she’s a genuine princess. I have a very cute 15-second video of the experiment, but mostly it’s just her flailing around and screaming while I describe the methodology of the experiment so there’s not much point in posting it.

In the course of the furniture carnage Klaus & Birgit stopped by for their first encounter with Molli, and I got some cute pictures of Molli with each of them:

Not much else to report. Vibeke & Jørgen have been helping us come to terms with our denuded apartment. Frankly it’s such a relief to be rid of all that baroque crap that it’s not really a nuisance having no furniture. Molli is adjusting just fine. Last night Trine kept waking up to feed her only to find she didn’t want to be fed. Molli went more than five hours between meals! Unfortunately it was 9pm to 2am, and Trine kept waking up out of habit, but if we can get her to slide this habit forward to, say, 11pm to 5am, I think we’d be very, very happy people. Just thinking about it makes me giggle.
