We just had Molli on her playmat, flipped her onto her belly, and were about to begin our always-fruitless effort to coax her into lifting her head up, when she suddenly just lifted it up herself and started looking around and blinking. We went insane. She kept her little head up for about thirty or forty-five seconds before suddenly realizing, like a cartoon character running off a cliff, “Hey! I can’t do this!” And then, of course, whump!
I got 2 photos of her with the head up, and even got the last 10-15 seconds (including the whump) on video—I’ll post later tonight or tomorrow… I’m heading into town to see some football right now but wanted to be sure to announce the incredible event. It was one of the all-time most amazing things I ever saw! She’d never got that little head higher than maybe a centimeter or two up from the floor, face down, and here she suddenly brings her head up so high that her face was perpindicular to the floor! And she looked around from side to side. Inexplicable!
