Little Sister

It’s late and it’s been a long day, but I couldn’t let it pass without marking the great new milestone in Molli Malou’s world…

Her little sister is on her way!

She was napping when we looked in on her, but we did get to see a spectacular yawn!

All her sizes and statistics are great and we just can’t wait to get her out where we can play with her!

We shared the news with Molli Malou over dinner and she seemed very happy. We’d pounded it into her head for so long that she couldn’t choose a brother or sister that she seemed confused by our having done so. Why would we pick a sister if we weren’t supposed to pick?

We asked her if she had any ideas for names, and she came right back at us with: “It can’t be one of those names like Mellie or Nellie or Ellie.”

Which are precisely the names we’d expected her to choose, but we’ve spent so much time telling the poor girl she can’t name every blessed thing Mellie or Nellie or Ellie that she’s taken it much too much to heart. We’re going to have to deprogram our own daughter, because we both kind of like the name Melanie, meaning Mellie could be an option.

(But only one of many. We’re open to suggestion.)

This blog post is also confirmation that I have finally transferred everything onto my new laptop, and have downloaded IrfanView and FileZilla and all the other little tools without which the Molliblog would not be possible.

So we’re back in production, and there’ll be more soon.
